Role Purpose

Your role supports the British Council’s mission of building cultural connections and shaping global opportunities through language.
Essentials:
- University degree or equivalent
- CELTA /TESOL (TEFLi) or equivalent certificate, plus a minimum of two years’ post-certificate teaching experience (approximately 1,200 hours).
- High proficiency in English i.e. CEFR level of C2 or IELTS Band 8+ in each of 4 sections of the academic module.
- Experience in teaching relevant age groups to be specified by the centre
- Early Years aged 4 and 5
- Primary aged 6 to 10 (400+ hours)
- Lower Secondary aged 11 to 14 (800+ hours)
- Upper Secondary aged 15 to 17 (400+ hours)
- University/Vocational students aged 18 to 25 (400+hours)
- Adults General English 18+ (800+ hours)
